What's the most I'll pay? (HDB parking caps)
Short-term charges are capped, so a long stay never runs away:
- Daytime, 7am–10:30pm: capped at $12 outside Central, $20 within Central.
- Overnight, 10:30pm–7am: capped at $5 at car parks with the Night Parking Scheme (NPS).
- Whole day, 7am–7am: capped at $12 / $20 at NPS car parks.
These caps do not apply at selected popular car parks with peak-hour charges, which cost more during peak periods.
Is HDB parking cheaper at night?
Yes. HDB car parks aren't free, but overnight is cheapest: at Night Parking Scheme car parks you pay at most $5 between 10:30pm and 7am. The Central Area also drops to the $0.60 half-hour rate outside Mon–Sat 7am–5pm.
Central Area vs non-Central — what's the difference?
Only a defined list of car parks is “Central Area” and charges the higher $1.20 half-hour daytime rate — including Albert Centre, Bras Basah Complex, Tekka Centre, The Pinnacle @ Duxton, Kreta Ayer Road, Sago Lane, Selegie Road, Tanjong Pagar Plaza and Waterloo Centre. Everywhere else is the non-central $0.60 rate.
HDB season parking rates (2026)
Park at the same estate daily? Season parking is a flat monthly fee, usually far cheaper than short-term. Charges are tiered: Tier 1 is your household's first car; Tier 2 covers second cars onward and non-residents, and costs more — sharply so in car-lite areas.

- Family Season Parking (FSP): half the Tier 1 rate — e.g. $55/month for a car at a multi-storey car park — to park near your immediate family's home.
- Motorcycles: concessionary season parking lets you park in unreserved lots at all HDB car parks with no short-term charges.

How do I check my exact parking fee?
The Parking.sg app shows the running charge for the session you started, and a coupon-free car park bills the same rates on tap-out. The figures above are HDB's published charges. Peak-hour car parks are the exception and post their own rates at the entrance.
