Five of eighteen taking an order of one is a larger share than the category's reputation suggests, and it is worth knowing before a group chat gets talked into ordering thirty shirts for twelve people.

The minimum moves with the printing method, not the shop

OrangeBox is the clearest statement of a rule the whole category runs on. Its no-minimum applies to direct-to-garment, which prints straight onto the fabric with no setup, while screen printing needs a screen cut per colour per design and only makes sense spread across a run. Provision Print shows the same logic from the other side: 10 units when it supplies the garment, 30 when you bring your own, because handling somebody else's stock carries a fixed cost the print does not.

Three of the eighteen publish a per-piece figure. The gap between a blank at $4.43 and a printed bundle at $9.50 is the print, and Butter Prints' own examples put a number on how it moves: $7.00 a piece at 30 to 50 shirts falls to $6.20 at 50, for one print position. Quantity buys down the setup, which is the same reason the minimums exist.

Free delivery starts at very different places

Turnaround, for the orders that are already late

DC9 Gifts advertises a 24-hour rush service with in-house production and 24-hour stock. Cottony prints in five working days, or same day on selected products. Ark Industries states a typical turnaround of seven to ten working days. MeowPrint says it usually replies to a quote the same working day, which is a response time rather than a production time and worth reading as such.

In-house production is the thing that makes a 24-hour promise possible. A shop that outsources printing inherits somebody else's queue.

Seven publish nothing to compare

Pisti Prints, ICONIQUE Apparels Printing, Merchfoundry, TREA, DanLim PrintLab, The Teeser and Art Serve returned no minimum, no price and no turnaround on any page that loaded in September 2026.
