Courier Services Singapore: What Each One Carries, and Why Nobody Publishes a Full Price (2026)
Contents
Almost no Singapore courier publishes a price you can plan around. Rates sit behind a booking form that wants a pickup address, a dropoff address and a weight before it says a number, which makes comparing them on cost close to impossible from the outside. What is published, and what actually decides the fare, is the vehicle, and that comes down to weight. Everything below was read on 8 September 2026: ratings from each company's Google listing, weight limits and surcharges from their own pages.
What each one carries, at a glance
| Courier | Google rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| uParcel | 4.9 from 9,375 | Flat-rate parcels, distance ignored |
| XDel | 4.6 from 3,967 | Scheduled and recurring runs |
| Ixpress647 | 4.6 from 1,255 | A published base fare, from $6 |
| GoGoX | 4.5 from 1,827 | Lorries and bulky loads |
| Evfy (was GetVan) | 4.5 from 111 | Customised van runs |
| Lalamove | 4.0 from 2,322 | On-demand, widest vehicle range |
| GrabExpress | 3.7 from 896 | Ad-hoc, booked like a ride |
| Ninja Van | 3.6 from 11,821 | E-commerce parcel volume |
The spread in those ratings is wider than the spread in what they do. uParcel holds 4.9 across 9,375 reviews; Ninja Van holds 3.6 across 11,821. Both are large, established operators, and both numbers are built on enough reviews to mean something.
Weight decides the vehicle, and the vehicle decides the price
Lalamove publishes the clearest version of the ladder every courier runs on. The base fare still needs the app, but the weight limits and the charge for each extra stop are stated:
| Load | Vehicle class | Extra stop |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 8kg | Motorcycle | +$3 |
| Up to 20kg | Car | +$5 |
| Total 50kg | Larger car | +$6 |
| Up to 350kg | Van | +$8 |
| Up to 800kg | Small lorry | +$11 |
| Up to 1 tonne | Lorry | +$11 |
| Up to 2 tonnes | Large lorry | +$17 |
| Up to 5 tonnes | Heavy lorry | +$20 |
The jump that costs the most is 20kg to 50kg, because it moves the job from a car to a larger vehicle, and again at 350kg where a van becomes a lorry. Knowing which side of those lines a load sits on is worth more than comparing base fares, since the base fare follows the vehicle.
The two that publish a number
Ixpress647 states door-to-door delivery from $6.00 and a base fare from $7 island-wide, with booking open 24 hours. That is the closest thing to a published price in the category.
uParcel works on flat rates regardless of distance, which is the useful model for anything crossing the island, and currently adds a $1 fuel surcharge on top of its published rates. A flat rate matters most on the long diagonal runs, Tuas to Changi, where distance-based pricing hurts.
Where the ratings actually differ
uParcel, 4.9 from 9,375. The highest rating in this group by a clear margin, and on a review count large enough that it is not a fluke of a few happy customers.
XDel, 4.6 from 3,967. Built around scheduled and recurring deliveries rather than one-off bookings, which is a different job from the on-demand apps.
Ixpress647, 4.6 from 1,255. The published base fare and 24-hour booking are the draw.
GoGoX, 4.5 from 1,827. Formerly GoGoVan, and still the one people reach for when the load needs a lorry.
Evfy, 4.5 from 111. Listed on older guides as GetVan; the company now trades as Evfy.
Lalamove, 4.0 from 2,322. The widest vehicle range, from an 8kg motorcycle job to a 5-tonne lorry, and the most transparent about what each class carries.
GrabExpress, 3.7 from 896. Booked inside an app most people already have, which is most of its appeal.
Ninja Van, 3.6 from 11,821. The lowest rating here on the largest review base. It is built for e-commerce volume rather than one-off consumer sends, and the reviews reflect a different kind of customer.
Courier services in Singapore: quick questions
Which courier is cheapest in Singapore?
No honest answer exists from published data, because almost every operator quotes on pickup, dropoff and weight. Ixpress647 states a base fare from $6 to $7, which is the only published starting figure in this group. uParcel's flat rate ignores distance, so it tends to win on long cross-island runs.
Why won't couriers publish their prices?
The fare depends on distance, vehicle class and time of day, so a single number would be wrong more often than right. What they do publish is the weight limit for each vehicle class, which is what actually sets the price band.
What weight can a motorcycle courier take?
Up to 8kg on Lalamove's motorcycle class, with each extra stop adding $3. Above that the job moves to a car at 20kg, then a larger vehicle at 50kg.
Which courier has the best rating?
uParcel, at 4.9 from 9,375 Google reviews as of 8 September 2026. Ninja Van sits lowest at 3.6, though on a larger base of 11,821 reviews and serving mostly e-commerce senders rather than individuals.
What happened to GetVan?
It trades as Evfy now, holding 4.5 from 111 reviews. Older guides still list the GetVan name.
Is same-day delivery available?
Yes, across most of this group. Ixpress647 books around the clock, and the on-demand operators (Lalamove, GrabExpress, GoGoX) are same-day by design rather than as an upgrade.
Does a flat rate beat distance pricing?
On long runs, yes. uParcel's flat rate ignores distance, so it favours anything crossing the island; a distance-based fare will usually be cheaper on a short hop within one town.
