“Found this gem of a place online, food and service are great. Value for money meals, place is crowded so remember your bookings! The chicken we ordered were well cooked, tender and juicy. The burger is a nice medium, while the fries were a tad cold, they were still crispy. Already planning to go again.”

“The 5 Stars are for the Service! A great place to grab some late night food or snacks and even dessert. They close at 2am. The food isn’t amazing or anything like that. It’s okay with a lot of heart from the people operating the restaurant. What do I mean by that? The service is next level and I am very impressed. I have not had this level of service from any other restaurant in Singapore including all the expensive restaurants I have been too. They are hard working and very diligent with the service. That alone I will give them 6 stars for excellent service. However, the food is just okay. Could be better and prices are a little dearer than most HDB restaurants or my expectations. The menu is rather huge and extensive. Perhaps reviewing and removing some items and consecrate on the quality. I can definitely help you guys in that area if you’re interested. Keep up the good work 😀”

Testimonial

“We book the table on Friday night for the birthday celebration after the covid19 measure further relaxed in Apr2022, the best time slot we can get is 5:30pm… All slots at 7pm are fully booked. We love the salmon fillet as the fillet is fried to just make while skin is very crispy and the fillet itself is still tender and juicy. While I told the staff we are here to celebrate the birthday, they help us deco the cake and put the candle on them, very sweet. No need to mention the environment is awesome as it is located inside the botanic garden so we are actually surrounded by lots of green, just remember to request the outdoor table”

The desserts at this restaurant are so good as well.

Testimonial

“Brought the family out to Royz et Vous to try my favourite item on their menu: BEEF RIBS. It’s not cheap, but it really really is very good. Huge slab of beef so tender and soft, it slides off the bone by itself. You don’t even need a knife to eat this, grab a plastic fork and you’ll be able to poke thru the tender meat with ease. BBQ sauce is so darn good, I need an extra portion at the side to eat my beef (and everything else) with all the time. Other food items were great as well, from the fish & chips to the salmon and on to dessert. Always a great time dining here! :)”

Penny University offers delectable food, especially their special steak frites served with garlic butter and sunny-side-up eggs, will surely gratify your appetite. It is one of the cafes in the country known for being easygoing in terms of style. For a great coffee experience, we recommend their Muddy Espresso.

Testimonial

“My go to cafe whenever I need comfort food. Eggs Benedict and English breakfast are the best, but I’d suggest opting for brioche over sourdough. A must try is their signature muddy espresso, a fancier version of your typical iced latte. Also, I usually purchase their beans for my own consumption, would recommend the espresso blend if you have a coffee machine. Staff is friendly, and best part is that it’s halal and has vegetarian options, suitable for the whole gang. My only issue is that it’s too popular, and it’s hard to get seats. Reserve early to avoid disappointment.”

Testimonial

“We got the Royal Ragu, pink sauce DIY pasta with mussels and the truffle sandwich. Overall taste and texture of the food was good, however I did find the beef ragu to be a bit dry and the beef bacon to be a bit too chewy. Plus points for a well-balanced creamy pink sauce and al dente pasta. Would definitely return again as the prices are reasonable. If only the space was bigger! We had to wait around 30 mins for a table w/o reservation on a Weds night.”

Food came hot despite delivery from Arab street to Yishun and dessert (fruit tart)’s crust still has some crispiness after we ate 3 hours from delivery time. We did place in refrigerator after it arrived. Totally love the mixed berry tart!! Salmon portion was large and love the avocado that came with it. Delicious too (just like the shop name!) The ambience at Muslim-owned cafe Overrice will make you feel like you have been teleported to Manhattan, New York because, aside from its industrial feel, it features a wall painting of the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty, a concept combining yellow and black, and a sign in neon and pink.

The restaurant, which is located on Arab Street, takes inspiration from The Halal Guys restaurant in New York City, which serves popular Middle Eastern cuisine such as pita pockets, rice bowls drizzled with sauce, the yam and prawns laden Yawn Balls, and falafel bites.

Testimonial

“Filling but healthy and delicious, there’s plenty of options and combinations to try. The seating is spartan but practical and the food came out quickly. Spicy sauce (which had a real kick) was served on the side to suit individual tastes. For the price this is definitely worth adding to the lunch options for the area.”

Feast your eyes on a range of mouthwatering dishes at this cafe including the Oolong Boba Souffle Pancakes, Hazelnut Chocolate Souffle Pancakes, Mango Passion Fruit Souffle Pancakes, and many others.

Their souffle pancakes are the fluffiest you’ll ever find due to the characteristics of their texture. The cafe is one of the rare places to find halal souffle pancakes in the country.

Testimonial

“Long wait time to be seated and again for the food. Good and friendly service made up for it. The pancakes were definitely fluffier and less eggy than another one that I’ve tried. However, it’s still way too expensive and the short dining time allocated (~40min) doesn’t justify the long wait time. If you’re looking for a place to linger for a while, come closer to the end of the night because they won’t kick you out if it’s the last seating.”
