26 Best Buffets in Singapore (2026): Hotel, Halal, Japanese, Korean BBQ & Steamboat — Every Real Price Per Head

A buffet in Singapore runs anywhere from $28 to $130 a head, and the gap rarely matches the food. We tracked the current per-head price of every buffet worth knowing — checked against the venue's own page or its booking platform — and ranked them by what you pay, not by who markets hardest.

A few things move the price. Weekday lunch is almost always the cheapest sitting, often 30–50% below weekend dinner for the same spread. Nearly every price carries “++” (10% service, 9% GST), so a $30++ buffet is about $36 nett — we show both where it matters. Korean BBQ and Japanese all-you-can-eat hold the value end at $28–40++; hotel international spreads sit at $80–110++ and climb on weekends and festive dates. Children usually eat at half price or by height, and premium seafood sittings need a booking.

Below, buffets are grouped by type and ranked by value within each. Every price is dated, linked to its source, and re-checked monthly.

How we chose

Ordered by lowest per-head sitting (usually weekday lunch), service + GST as printed. Every price is quoted verbatim from the source shown and re-checked monthly. The ◆ Pick marks the best value in a category, never the priciest, and no venue pays to appear or rank.

We show the real per-head price (service + GST in), the cuisine and the nearest MRT: the facts that actually decide a buffet, each checked against the venue's own menu. Ratings you can see on Google; the price is the number worth verifying, and we do.

How to pay less at a Singapore buffet

The sticker price is rarely what you pay. These evergreen levers beat any one-off promo.

  • Go weekday lunch. The cheapest sitting of the week — often 20–40% below weekend dinner for the same spread.
  • Always check for a 1-for-1. Via bank cards (Citi, DBS, UOB) or apps (Chope, Eatigo, Burpple Beyond). It effectively halves the per-head: an $88++ dinner (about $105 nett with service + GST) works out to roughly $53 a head — often cheaper than the weekday-lunch list price.
  • Stack a member or card discount. Many hotels give a further 10–15% on top of a 1-for-1 — ask before you book, not after.
  • Time your plate. Arrive at the start of the sitting when the seafood and premium items are freshly stocked, and pace yourself through the à-la-carte rounds.
  • Use child and senior rates. Steep discounts that quietly cut a family bill — and some places let under-6s eat free.

Deals change constantly, so we don't chase individual promos — but these levers are always worth checking before you book.

Buffet prices in Singapore — FAQ

How much is a buffet in Singapore?+

Weekday lunch buffets start around $28–35++ per adult — Korean BBQ and Japanese all-you-can-eat are the cheapest full spreads. Hotel international buffets run $80–110++ and climb on weekend dinners and festive dates. Every figure here is the lowest current per-head sitting, service and GST as printed.

What's the cheapest buffet worth going to?+

The cheapest verified spreads are GoroGoro (from $15.90++) and Captain Kim ($22.90++, halal-certified), both under $25. The Korean BBQ spots are promo-heavy, so student and timeslot deals go lower still.

Which buffets are halal-certified?+

Two on this list: Carousel at Royal Plaza on Scotts (lunch from $61++), our halal pick for a hotel spread, and Captain Kim ($22.90++) for cheaper halal Korean BBQ. Both hold MUIS halal certification.

Where can I find 1-for-1 buffet deals?+

1-for-1 buffet promotions usually run through booking apps (eatigo, Chope) and bank card offers rather than the venues directly, and they rotate. Check the venue's own page for the current promo before assuming a listed deal still stands.

What's the best Japanese buffet for the price?+

Kiseki, at $30.90++ weekday lunch, is the cheapest all-you-can-eat sushi and sashimi in town — roughly $20 a head under hotel Japanese buffets for a comparable raw bar. Suki-Ya (regular lunch from $23.90++) is cheaper if you prefer shabu-shabu to a sushi spread.

How much do children pay?+

Most buffets charge children roughly half the adult price, or by height (often free under about 0.9m). Korean BBQ buffets tend to charge a flat child rate ($15–20++); check each venue, as cut-offs vary.

Do I need to book?+

Weekday lunches usually have walk-in space. Weekend seafood dinners and festive sittings at hotel buffets book out — reserve a few days ahead, especially for larger groups.

Are weekday buffets cheaper than weekend?+

Yes — weekday lunch is almost always the cheapest sitting, often 30–50% below the weekend dinner price for the same spread. If value is the goal, go on a weekday at lunch.

Which buffet restaurant in Singapore is the best?+

No single restaurant is considered 'the best' — it depends on your budget and craving, which is why we rank by value instead. For the money, the standout restaurants are Captain Kim and GoroGoro (full spreads under $25++); for a hotel spread, Carousel (halal) or the big international buffets at weekday lunch. Use the ranked list above to pick by price and cuisine rather than one blanket winner.

What buffet do locals actually recommend? (the Reddit take)+

Search Reddit or askSingapore and the advice is consistent: go for value, not the priciest hotel name. Locals point to weekday lunch and the affordable full spreads — Korean BBQ and Japanese all-you-can-eat under $35++ — which punch above their price, and treat the $100++ weekend hotel dinners as occasion-only. That lines up with how we rank buffets: by what you actually pay.

Prices are the lowest per-head sitting, service + GST as printed; full tier tables live on each venue's source page or its full review. Every price is checked against the venue's own page, its booking platform, or a dated report — with the source shown on each row so you can check it yourself. Re-checked monthly; last checked 6 August 2026.
