Common Man Coffee Roasters is a specialty-coffee cafe on Joo Chiat Road, running since 2013. Alongside the cafe it operates a roastery, a barista academy and a wholesale coffee arm, and roasts and serves specialty-grade Arabica.
By day it's an all-day breakfast and brunch spot. In the evening the same Joo Chiat address turns over to Common Man Night Shift, a wine bar pairing natural wines with a mix of Japanese and Mediterranean plates, mains and sourdough pizzas.
Worth it for: people who want proper specialty coffee and a sit-down brunch, or a wine-bar dinner later on, in the Katong and Joo Chiat area rather than a quick takeaway kopi.
